April Hubbard is a performer, arts administrator, accessibility consultant, Disability educator, and a proud queer, Disabled, Mad woman based in K’jipuktuk/Halifax. She creates space for those with unseen bodies and unheard voices. She is the Chair of the Halifax Fringe Festival and Kinetic, the co-founder of disabilityX Halifax, the author of the Eastern Front Theatre Accessibility Project, the host of In Focus on AMI-tv, and performs alongside the talented ladies of LEGacy Circus or as her Drag persona Crip Tease. April empowers community members to be leaders in designing the society in which they wish to live by challenging assumptions and normalizing the presence of Disabled people in our world.
