Cassie Seaboyer - Artist Mentor

Cassie is an artist originally from Shelburne NS who moved to Halifax 10 years ago to study at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. Upon moving to Halifax, Cassie was introduced to the world of cosplay by attending Halcon. She then incorporated cosplay into her studies at NSCAD and found that it was a great way to practise skills that would be later useful in the film industry.

  After graduating in 2017, she then began an apprenticeship in Special Effects Makeup and started working at Neptune Theatre. Cassie quickly fell in love with the world of creature design, prop building and puppet fabrication while working on several different films and theatre productions.

  When Cassie is not working and has down time, she is a bagpiper in the local Fire Department Pipes and Drums band and loves gardening.
