Nik is a queer creator living in Unama'ki, working through reconnecting with their indigenous ancestry, forging a better future for their son, and wrestling with trying to live a joyous, peaceful, and just existence as a disabled artist. They have grown through several careers, from tattooing to running for office to historical costuming, each lending a piece to their current work as a freelance artist & illustrator. Their work incorporates many themes and media as they follow the whims of a dopamine deficiency, with a hefty focus on bold lines and bright colours, calligraphy and watercolour. Nik regularly attends pop culture conventions as a vendor and primarily makes art infused with elements inspired by their experiences as a nonbinary millennial nerd.
